REGISTRATION
You can register by simply showing up at CAPA High School on a Saturday morning. We will have registration forms there. You might want to call or email us in advance so we know you are coming and to confirm we will be rehearsing that weekend. There are a few weekends we are off and we will be going out for performances, radio shows, workshops, etc ...
YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME AND CHECK US OUT BEFORE YOU JOIN.
NO CHARGE. NO OBLIGATION.
Bring your instrument so you can get the feel of what we are doing. We want you to join but we hope you will enjoy it and be comfortable with what we are doing. It is a little different from anything you have done before.
TUITION
Cost for the full September 2009 - May 2010 season is $300.
There is a $25 Books and Materials Fee. Tuition will be discounted for those who start later in the year.
SCHOLARSHIPS
UP TO 20 PITTSBURGH PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A SCHOLARSHIP BASED ON ABILITY AND ATTITUDE. THESE ARE A LIMITED NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS BUT WE HAVE A FEW AVAILABLE AND WE WANT TO AWARD THEM TO YOU.
To audition for a scholarship you should contact us at 412-325-1211 or stevenvance@extremestrings.com to arrange a time to come in. This is usually done between 8:30-9:00 AM at CAPA in the second floor rehearsal room. Be prepared to play your very best stuff. We would prefer to hear something non-Classical but you should play whatever you feel good about. We can often tell you right away if you have earned a scholarship.
Currently, there are no scholarships available to Suburban school, Private school, or Home School students. We are working toward that goal for the future.
