STUDENTS

Currently, we have students from the Pittsburgh Public Schools and many more who are Home Schooled, or attend Private School or Suburban Public Schools in the following districts : Latrobe, Hampton, Beaver, Moon, Shaler, South Park, Gateway, Cornell, Pine-Richland, Peters, and Belle Vernon.

Ages range from 9-17.  We keep the group together as much as possible but do split them into the Neo’s (youngest) and the O.P.’s (Older Players).  This allows them to work on concepts at their own pace and move as quickly as they can without being overwhelmed or held back.

Students are encouraged to bring in their music ideas, are consulted on customized arrangements and take turns leading the group. Older students are assigned to teach certain tunes and techniques while the Neo’s have taught the OP’s new tunes they learned by ear. Several play multiple instruments with us.
