QUINTET, QUARTET, TRIO AND DUO
Our string ensembles create an air of elegance
for any business or social event. With a variety of ensembles
including Quintet (5 pieces), Quartet (4 pieces), Trio (3
pieces), and Duo (2 pieces) these first-class unit's most
popular format is the Quartet which features the traditional
instrumentation of Two Violins, Viola, Cello. Adding Bass
gives you the Quintet and you can substitute Flute in place
of a Violin. Trio offers Two Violins and Cello or Flute,
Violin, and Cello. We also offer Duo's of Two Violins or
Violin and Flute.
For the past 20 years these groups have performed
all over the Tri-State area as well as worked individually
with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Benedum Opera and
Ballet Orchestra, Orchestra Nova, the Mendelssohn Choir
Orchestra, Disney On Ice, Pittsburgh Festival Orchestra
(which has accompanied the likes of Luciano Pavarotti and
Tony Bennett) and more. These groups are by far the most
experienced and busiest performing ensembles in the area.
No students or amateurs here. Between them they have also
performed for over 1,000 weddings.
You will have a great deal of flexibility in
selecting music from a range of styles and periods including,
Classical, Romantic, Baroque, Popular, and Broadway (see
enclosed repertoire list) Plus, special requests are considered
on the basis of availablility of ensemble arrangements and
consultation with the musicians is an important part of
the process. We try to be as "user-friendly" as possible
recognizing that although we have done this hundreds of
times - you probably haven't.
An excellent video is available to help decide
which ensemble will best fit your needs. It shows the Quintet,
Quartet, Duo's and Soloists with all of the different instrumentation
options. Keep in mind that any of the groups can do just
about every instrumentation format you see but we couldn't
put every group doing every possible combination on the
video. If you haven't seen it - just ask. Let us know if
you prefer one particular group but we like to think that
all of the groups meet our - and your - highest standards.
An exceptional value for a professional group
- pricing varies based on a number of factors but we are
always willing to talk about ways that we can work within
your budget. A formal pricing proposal based on your individual
needs is available upon request and we can package the group
with other music for your event.
For Wedding Ceremonies: The standard performance
package includes up to 30 minutes of Prelude music, plus
the Processional(s), selections during the service (if you
need them), Recessional, and a Postlude tune or two as the
guests depart. Adding Trumpet to the strings makes for a
truly grand Processional and Recessional. Although many
people call us because they want avoid using the organ,
the group can comfortably work around other musicians you
may want or need to include in the service. Check first
with your Church/Synagogue or Officiant to get their requirements. |

|
| They were outstanding. Moreover,
I noticed the gusto the quartet displayed while playing the
Postlude music even as the guests departed. Since the music
was beautiful and the musicians professional, I will not hesitate
referring others to Steven Vance Strolling Violins. |

|
| I also wanted to let you know how
terrific Crystal was. She was so helpful and easy to work
with at a stressful time like that. It was nice to know we
could rely on her. |
